    I LOVE AUTUMN

Our resident funny man, Josh, came up with a great idea for a piece about Autumn. He had limited time to write the script, because the leaves and the weather were changing very fast.

Stan and Josh had found the perfect location to film, but arriving on the day of the shoot we realized that many of the leaves had fallen already. A little quick thinking and a couple of location adjustments and we were ready to film.

Josh (of course) played the very happy Autumn loving character, and the newest member to our team Boris (Animator extraordinaire) played the role of the grumpy park worker.

It was a really fun day full of a lot of laughter (usually at Josh's expense) and frozen fingers. We still don't understand how Josh did it running around in a thin shirt and no meat on his body, but he is a champ for roughing it out in that weather. Stan, who filmed and edited the piece laughed the whole way through.

    Enjoy!!

    Mari and Keone

So I had the great opportunity to once again photograph two amazing dance choreographers from San Diego; Mari and Keone. They were here in Toronto to teach workshops for Teego's dance studio Vybe (vybedance.com)

Mari and Keone are always an amazing couple to work with. They bring such a natural feel to the photographs. Everything just evolves and happens so candidly.  It was my third time shooting with the couple and had developed quite a comfortable relationship with them since day one.

Thank you again to Teego, Mari and Keone for creating another great shoot for me. I truly had a blast working with you two and i always look forward to you two visiting.

Lesson of the day: A trusting and positive bond or friendship between a photographer and subject is often a testament to the quality of a photo.

    Aaron and Serafina (Trailer)

I got to know Aaron and Serafina through a friend of mine, Adam (Aaron's brother). We had gone to NYC to film J.Moy's and Adam's music video "Bog Bossin". Luckily, Aaron and Serafina graciously offered us boys a place to bunk for our entire stay in NY. I absolutely do not know how they managed to put up with eight festive guys cramped into their two bedroom condo, but did so with the greatest hospitality and generosity. It was during my stay there that I had the opportunity to show them some of our music, corporate, and wedding videos.

Several months later I received a call from the lovely couple to see if we would film their wedding with our sister company Windmill Cinema. Of course we agreed.

On the day of the wedding it was a beautiful, as we started bright and early at 6:00am. The entire day ran very smoothly. With every event from the tea ceremony, ceremony, and reception filled with an extremely energetic and loving atmosphere. The reception was also full of surprises and fantastic moments, as Aaron and Serafina performed an awesome and unique first dance; something I definitely hadn't personally seen at a wedding before. Of course you'll have to check out the video to see what I'm talking about.

Thank you Aaron and Serafina for allowing us the opportunity to capture such a joyous occasion, and with such great people. We wish you a lifetime of happiness and love.

Tu and Quynh - Their Story

There is, in my opinion, nothing more romantically fun then sharing an evening together at the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE). An event held annually from mid August to early September in downtown Toronto, couples are often spotted gazing into each others eyes while riding the ferris wheel, splitting a hotdog and cotton candy, holding hands on the merry-go-round, and trying ever so hard to win a prize at the game concessions for their significant other. Though Keith and I thoroughly enjoyed sharing those very same moments together, we had to occasionally remember that we were really there to film an engagement video for a very special couple; Tu and Quynh.

Completely invested in the video, as i knew the lovely couple personally. I eagerly wanted to make a video that they could enjoy for many married years to come. I also thought it would be interesting to shoot at the CNE - essentially a large carnival with many colourful lights, rides, and amusements. In the end I couldn't have asked for a better location or a more willing and happy couple. Even at the sight of rain Tu and Quynh were game, shooting until they were essentially soaked. Note* most of the shots in the rain were not used - a little too gloomy for a wedding video. None the less, they definitely earned their brownie points, willing to tough it out in order to get any shots I thought we needed.

A special thanks to Keith Chang and Kim Doan (Tu's sister) for helping with the shoot. An extra special thanks to Tu and Quynh, for telling their story and being such good sports, making an awesome video that much easier and enjoyable to make.

This is just but a small chapter in your story together and I wish you guys many years of love and happiness.
