Tu and Quynh - Their Story

There is, in my opinion, nothing more romantically fun then sharing an evening together at the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE). An event held annually from mid August to early September in downtown Toronto, couples are often spotted gazing into each others eyes while riding the ferris wheel, splitting a hotdog and cotton candy, holding hands on the merry-go-round, and trying ever so hard to win a prize at the game concessions for their significant other. Though Keith and I thoroughly enjoyed sharing those very same moments together, we had to occasionally remember that we were really there to film an engagement video for a very special couple; Tu and Quynh. 

Completely invested in the video, as i knew the lovely couple personally. I eagerly wanted to make a video that they could enjoy for many married years to come. I also thought it would be interesting to shoot at the CNE - essentially a large carnival with many colourful lights, rides, and amusements. In the end I couldn't have asked for a better location or a more willing and happy couple. Even at the sight of rain Tu and Quynh were game, shooting until they were essentially soaked. Note* most of the shots in the rain were not used - a little too gloomy for a wedding video. None the less, they definitely earned their brownie points, willing to tough it out in order to get any shots I thought we needed.

A special thanks to Keith Chang and Kim Doan (Tu's sister) for helping with the shoot. An extra special thanks to Tu and Quynh, for telling their story and being such good sports, making an awesome video that much easier and enjoyable to make.

 

This is just but a small chapter in your story together and I wish you guys many years of love and happiness.
